Once upon a time in New York…
One boy and one girl took a moonlit stroll through Central Park. And in a city that never sleeps they discovered a rare, quiet moment. Here, a proposal would be made and the answer would be yes.
If you haven’t already guessed, New York City, is in fact where we got engaged. So, its not surprising that this concrete jungle holds a very special place in our hearts. When they say New York is a ‘state of mind,’ it really is. There is nowhere in the world quite like it.
An afternoon in Central Park, shopping at Tiffany’s, catching a train at Grand Central Station, exploring Times Square, standing on top of the Top of the Rock, the list could go on and on. To meet someone who didn’t fall in love with this city, would really surprise us. Yes, it can be noisy and smelly and busy but all of that disappears as you cross the Brooklyn Bridge or enter the Guggenheim. A simple glimpse of the Statue of Liberty will make you feel like you have stepped into a movie. A walk through the West Village is as if you’ve entered Sex and the City. And a night at the Village Vanguard overwhelms with the memories of many greats.
New York is also probably the only city in the United States where we could actually imagine living. With large wallets of course! The city always feels alive. It’s always moving and breathing. And it’s diverse boroughs, offer major culture. They provide a glimpse into all of the different people who have immigrated to America. And showcases how this continent grew to be the place it is today.
So, whether you are on the hunt for a historical adventure, a romantic getaway or a weekend of unheard of fun, New York is the place!
Stay tuned, because there is more to come on the big apple in the coming weeks.
